[Silver plating adds the charm of elegant style] The Jebi was the only Japanese fighter equipped with a liquid-cooled engine during the Pacific War. It was powered by a license-produced version of the German-produced Daimler-Benz DB601 engine, known as the Ha40. Feiyan's features include a streamlined nose and slender main wings. The aircraft was officially adopted as a Type III fighter in 1943. In order to fight against American fighters with high bulletproof performance, its armament was strengthened many times. Among them, the Type I D has a nose extended by 20 centimeters, equipped with two 20mm machine guns inside the fuselage, and two 12.7mm machine guns inside the main wings. From January 1944 to January 1945, approximately 1,360 Type I Diners were produced, making it the most numerous model in the series. With its excellent high-altitude performance and powerful armament, the Jebi Type I played an important role in local air defense warfare. The 244th Squadron led by Captain Kobayashi performed outstandingly in air defense operations to defend the capital, which has been widely known. This special edition model uses silver-plated parts to recreate the texture of Feiyan I-type Ding.
[Model Specifications] This is a 1/48 scale Feiyan I type plastic model assembly kit.
- The total length is 187 mm and the total width is 250 mm.
- The elegant exterior style is faithfully simulated, and low-gloss silver plating is added to parts such as the fuselage and main wings to present a realistic texture.
- The inverted V-shaped 12-cylinder Ha40 engine including supercharger and other accessories have been reproduced.
- The 20mm machine gun, magazine and fuel tank at the front of the cabin are also made into model parts, and you can feel the compact layout.
- The head windshield can be turned on or off.
- Comes with 2 jettison fuel tanks, a seated pilot figure, 2 marking options, and spotted camouflage decals.
